This question was years ago, but here's an answer anyway. Some chimps would obey hand signals to move their mouths. Those that couldn't were given bubble gum to chew. The exception was Tonga, who didn't know the hand signal and didn't like bubble gum. For him they used peanut butter.68.167.26.113 (talk) 16:52, 15 January 2014 (UTC)
